Default Castle esc under battery?

I want to standardize my stuff to Castle esc's. My truck is Castle, my 180 cfx is Castle, my new Goblin is Castle, now it's time for my Mini Protos to go Castle. Which Castle esc will fit under the battery tray and run the Scorpion 6s motor? I would prefer an Edge Lite 50 or Edge Lite HV 40 if they fit but I will settle for Talon 35 if need be.

Edge Lite 50 should fit, it's only 1.4mm longer than the Talon 35. The hv 40 is actually the shortest. Width is not a problem on any of them.

Keep in mind you will have to run an external BEC with both the Edge lite 50 (bec is weak) and the HV 40 (has no bec).

I guess i will go with the Talon 35. The Mini is cramped as it is, adding a bec is more clutter.

I mounted my standard Castle Edge 50 under the main gear, between the sideframes. It fits prefect there.
Not the lite version. I like being able to tune the gov by monitoring logs and the standard Castle ESC does this well.
Makes dialing in the Brain gov super easy.

The spot under the main shaft is occupied by the fbl, so my esc stays under the battery.

I have a 50 ice lite and it is a tight but ok fit under the battery. I think the 50 edge would be fine.

The Ice lite and Edge lite I believe are the same physical size.

If your willing to consider relocating the Brain to the tail boom block then the full size CC 50 EDGE will fit where I was referring to on earlier postings.
The added benefit of data logging is something to think about. I'm pretty sure the lite does not have the ability to log data.
The Castle logging really helps for tuning the governor in to its peak optimum performance abilities.
Its definitely not fun though re-routing wiring again though but it may prove to be well worth it for you in the end

All Ice and Edge escs have logging. The only ones that don't are Talons and the old original Phoenix escs.

I'm not willing to put anything on top of the boom block. I had a crash a few years ago that tossed the gyro. My new Goblin 500 Sport is still getting it's fbl inside the frame even though the top location is a little protected by the canopy & frame sides..

My ice lite 50 has full data logging, I'd get a talon 35 and run the onboard bec if I had a choice but I bought the heli used.

Oh ok. My mistake. I don't know why but I was thinking besides the lack of heating they also did not have logging.

My bad
