Isn't the X2 the same as the 255?

I'm about to buy a 255 and make it fbl. Will be a nice little "X2". Got a Castle 25 on the way and already have a fbl unit (uRondo).

Yup looks just like the 255, with all the upgrades,

I was talking to the owner of my lhs, he said he is disapointed in gaui for using the "x"
Brand on these other helis

He said the x5 was meant to be the end all, ultimate heli, and its pretty dam close
The main focus was low part count and high power to weight ratio.
I'm tempted to make a 2 peice main frame set for my 255, cut the parts count in half,
But its gona take a lot of machining, maybe when it gets to hot to fly here in phx, ill make all the cnc programs, ill basiclly scale down the x5 frame, and use some of the 255 parts
I still need to find a power house of a motor.
Like 400 watts, 3600kv, 4s

I am kinda disapointed that gaui went the bling route, instead of designing a whole new machine that would kick every other helis ass

The 255 seems reallly low parts count to me, I MUCH prefer the design over the T-Rex 250 I had.

I know, the 3 piece frame is kinda odd... But I really like the placement of servos, and prefer it to the way the 200/250's are.

I've found the 255 frame to be quite robust once the frame stiffeners went in. It has hit the ground many times and so far the frame has held up to the punishment. Me I'm waiting for the X4 to be released more widely.

The pitchup.com x4 will never be released widely,,,

Gaui is makeing there own x4, from what I've heard its a x5
spinning 425 blades, shorter boom, and of course the head
I have the gaui x4 fes head on my" x4"
only thing my heli doesn't have is the servo setup, but its identical to the x4 from pitch up

+1 I got the frame stiffeners, feels really nice. Without it I could see breaking that area alot.
