Yes that was the answer I got from Scorpion, and it works well, soaking it in alcohol bought at a pharmacy overnight and it just needs a soft tap and then slides off. If using this with the powder coated stators of other motors be careful as it destroys the powder coating as well

Hi,
I keep reading about "test winding" in order to find the the exact Kv of a motor. Can someone explain me the process? Thanks! |

Also YY - the difference between the schemes is that the first is for 10 magnets bell and the second is for 8 magnets one.
use this calculator: http://www.bavaria-direct.co.za/scheme/calculator/ put 12 slots and then play between 10/8 magnets you will see the difference.

Hey guys! Those are my drawings from RCG! I'm ApexAero there, I got interested in motor rewinding when seeking more to do in the hobby. I spent about 140 hours reading and studying BL motor winding in both forums and have just touched the surface but have enough info to wind and share these days. It has renewed my interest in model aviation after getting burned out on Nitro. Many thanks to Ralph and Ron for the inspiration. Am now after the 250 mph barrier at the age of 60 with my arthritic hands and all!
peace out, Tom J PS: I still have my 05' Rex 450 V2 w/3400 rpm head speed!

Turn Calculator 7
Includes the calculation of the surface of a slot in the stator, and the maximum number of turns that can be achieved as well as the resistance of the wire. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2228201 Prettig weekend Ron |

4525 ultimate winding
One question guys I just rewind this motor 6+4 yy using 0.4547mm copper wire 8 strands, indeed this motor its working fine but its doesn't has the power like the original. I don't understand the table calculator. how many strands and turns I had to have to achieve with this wire to get 520kv on this motor?. I had to rewind with original wire 1.4mm that for me its very difficult. Any suggestion are welcome

You need 11 Turns on that motor to get to the 525-550 kv range, not 10.
For the copper - it's basic mathematics: calculate the cross section area of the original one strand and compere it to the new one X 8 http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/aw...uge-d_731.html http://www.basic-mathematics.com/are...alculator.html
