If they are the same size as the trex 450 head then no they will be a bit loose , not what you want. I changed mine for some turned brass bushes which stiffened the head to perfection.

Did you say turned brass? As in machined brass? Basically you took out the dampening completely. Well I've heard that people like the Gaui 450 FL head because it has no dampening, but I've never heard of getting rid of all dampening in a head that is designed for it. that just sounds crazy, why wouldn't you just use the Gaui head if you wanted a rigid head and save like $60.

Because a tighter head to me just feels so much better, i tried the gaui head but did not like the lack of thrust races and feathering spindle. I use my 450 as a beater to test out new stuff rather than use my 500.
crashing the outrage means i can replace the feathering spindle, crashing the gaui head I would not trust that the thread in the head had not stripped. Somehow i dont fancy a blade travelling towards me at 200mph

I should also point out that i found the outrage to be an excellant head out of the box but I thought the damping to be very soft and it felt wooly with the sk360

hmm well I'll give it a shot. I'm not sure if I want brass though, just a bit stiffer to get better response. I plan on ordering the SK360 + outrage head combo from RREmodels after my next paycheck. Did you machine the brass yourself or did you buy it somewhere?
