Default After 100+ Flights It was time for some maintanance - Experience Log

I am from the camp that has had AMAZING success with the 130x. I have had no issues at all out of the box.

I now have over 100 flights on mine and this is the grand sum total of what I have experienced to date:

I have crashed a solid 50 plus times. In nearly every imaginable orientation.
I have replaced:
1 blade grip
1 main gear
1 canopy
1 tail boom
1 landing gear
1 set main blades
2 of the front tt gears (the one that meshes with the crown gear) - lost them in crashes

Today I ripped the little bird apart and did the following maintanance:

All bearings ( I have made a little kit for these bearings fyi ) Main shaft, torque tube and the flanged bearings.
Replaced my first crown gear
Replaced tail shaft

I added the rubber grommets to the swash
Gave everything a good cleaning

What I have experienced:
I have experienced tail wag, as well as oscillations. My observations are that most wags come from a tail boom that has split. Oscillations have also been part of this.
My crown gear after 100 plus crashes was worn but was completely flyable.
The bearings I replaced are 100 % better than the stock. Smoother by a long shot.
Very happy with my upgrade kits!

Conclusions:
I have been flying for a few years now and this bird has FAST forwarded my learning curve in a massive way. I have been pretty disappointed with every Eflite product to date. I have had more than a few. But this one is a winner. No doubt about it. I cannot imagine not having it around anymore. Simply a stunning learning tool.
This will perhaps sound very self serving but bearings bearings bearings. A very worthy update!

Cheers

We had one of our bearing suppliers make the bearings for us.

We had them make:
main bearings
torque tube bearings
and the flanged tail box bearings.

It was just a little side thing as we fly the 130x for fun and it was an easy way to improve the little guy.

Open or greased and shielded? Price? The Boca kits are known to be good quality but since yours aren't as well known as Boca's then imo they should be priced less.
