Default New Furion 6 owner.

Hi I have just won a Furion airframe, just wondering what size lips would be best.
I am going to run a 12s setup, Scorpion 4035-530, 13t Pinion (2100-2300 rpm) CCHV80 esc with a scott grey hvx regulator from a separate lipo.

I have lots of Gens Ace 2600mAh 6s lipos from my Trex 500. I was thinking of maybe using them or going to 4000mAh turnigys from Hobbyking or maybe a little lower mAh lipo.

Just wondered what the dimensions are of the battery section are as i don't have the airframe yet. And if the lipos I'm looking at are suitable.

If any one can help that would be great.
Thanks
Gav

Thanks, I won it in the RCHA raffle the UK heliaddicts forum. Looking forward to flying it after seeing and reading about it.
Might get some 3300 mAh just to see how long a flight times a can get.

What kind of HS should i goven at. Not into 3d yet just sport and mild acrobatics.

I use a pair of 3300 Gen's and get 5:20 of mild/mod 3D. You want to keep the two batteries around 600g each for COG.

Congratulations, it's a very nice heli and very versatile. Can be docile, hard 3D or a speed demon with a 700 motor!

Grats on the prize. I fly mine on 10s using 4300 optis.

You might find the 2600s a bit light for the f6 though, so the CoG would be off a little, but it'll still fly fine.

Cheers,

John

That sure is a nice raffle prize.
I really enjoy mine. I also fly it 10S with 2 x 4400mah sky lipos.
More power than I can use.

Hopefully all my parts and the heli turning up tomorrow, have also invested in a pyro 700-52 motor for it. Cant wait to build and fly it.
Going to be searching the forum for any build tips for it.

Well I'm still around! Had some family issues the year just past and been away from flying for a while. My F6 is still in bits following a belt snap at the beginning of the year, wondering if a re-kit is the way to go or stump up the extra for the 700ex. You are not far from me Gavlar, so any questions, fire away and I'm sure we could meet up at some point. We have a nice new field down here which should be ready for the Spring. D
