Default Hahaha... it works :)

Ok. Just finished converting my raptor 50 titan se to FBL.
Setup is as follows:
  • Servos ds 615/655
  • Ar7200bx
  • O.s 55hz-h with redline pipe
  • Pushglow
  • Rotorstar Bec w/pinflag
  • RJX fbl head

I have to say i'm really impressed with the old girl roll and flip-rate is off the charts compared to FB. Super stable in FFF and fuel consumption is low compared to my 700's.
Moral of the story: If you are considering converting your old rappy to FBL... DO IT it's freaking awesome

Gaarden,

Very cool!

I did this to my old Raptor last year-it really does speed them up!

I used a Compass/TracX head and a Robird in mine.

I want to upgrade the Raptor 90 3D next!

Sounds great! I was looking at this Skookum 540 I have and was thinking about doing that on my Raptor. It is stuffed inside an A350 right now. I couldn't find the Raptor conversion anywhere though.

Where could one get these FBL heads?

Let me know if you get it to work with the Skookum 540. I did give it a try with a Trex600 FBL head but the original swashplate. Could not get it to stop oscillating. I even had someone from Skookum asking me the settings. I gave up after I crashed it while 1m off the ground. I have put the original head and gyro back but after a year now, still have not flown it.
