Default E-flite Rare Bear

Considering this for my first belly lander. Anyone else going for one.

I have thought about it, but for me upgrading to 4S batteries just isn't in the cards. I wish you the best of luck with yours though!

After watching the promo videos when the Rare Bear was introduced got me immediately hooked on the idea of flying it. I have only flown a UMX Radian but I seem to be mesmerized by high speed planes. May have to try it if I get rich or something.

And GBLynden, it is your civic duty to fly one and post a video! Especially if it results in a giant poof of foam on the horizon!

LOL the odds are pretty good for you crashing like you described if you only have experience with the UMX Radian. That is a great plane, but even stepping up to a UM T-28 Trojan you are talking about a big jump in speed and even more so with the full-sized T-28 which is still about half of the Rare Bear's speed.

I am not 100% ruling it out, but the probability is still low

On foam planes I prefer it to be a belly lander. Typically the landing gear on a foamy gets all loose and sloppy from landing in grass.

This looks like a fun plane, you will need lots of room to fly it!

I bought one and love it.

Word of warning...... It is fast and can disappear quickly, it was tough to trim out because you can't let it fly a straight line for too long.

Now that it is trimmed out it is a pleasure to fly. 100 mph or better and unlimited climb out. Would like to put fpv on it to see how high I can take it. Takes about 5 seconds for it to reach 500 to 600 feet agl.

This thing sounds awesome, I just need more skills and a larger flying area!
