in the text of that page it says that it has a 9 turn delta.. so i think the spec is wrong. .do we know what the actual wind is? like a 5+4 or something?

I noticed that, but guessed that was the original specs for the first 4525LE

I read it that there will be no more 4525LE Delta wound motors. If you place an order now, or on a back order, you will get the new YY wound motor.

This should be fine with the HeliJive, as the 4530 and 4535 LE's are YY, and run fine on the Kon.

so my understanding it is more powerful than pyro 520, they both cost the same. I may try it on a second TDR kit if I decided to build that one, I am also thinking of Diabolo too, can't really make up my mind.

The Diabolo is a better choice for powerful LE motors. It has much more bracing than TDR, it is made to handle more power.

Diabolo build thread with good pics:

Will the YY work with the Kontronik Jive 120 for 3D flight?

I would like to have a larger motor for XFC.

The current 4525 will shut down with the Jive 120, im not intrested in changing ESC just for this motor.

In a word, yes.

YY terminated Scorp motors run very very well on Kontronik Jives, no matter whether during 3D flight or speeding.

Cheers,
Simon.

Not always. I run 4525s on my TDR and JOker3 with Jive 120 - never had a shut down.

Thing is with yy no need to run ksa and yes while you can get away with running the d non ksa etc, flying hard on a warm day you run very big risk of failure, very well documented.

Is that because the helijive 120 is not enough amperage wise or it is a thermal shutdown, if it was the later do you think the soon to come Kosmic 160A will help?

Possible issue with low resistance motor, it is not temp or amperage problem.
Basically the Jive could "loose timing" so it stops working correctly in flight with possible damage for components inside Jive.

The IR of this motor is very close to my pyro 520 black edition, I would not think Kontronik will miss something like that, I started worrying now I will have the same problem as the black edition has low resistant wiring

Default I doubt very seriously that your k motor will have problems with a k jive.

My power jive worked great with my pyro and my 4525le. You will be fine.

I understand the PowerJives are OK with the 4525LE, in fact I know 2 people running that combo with no problem.

The problem as I know it is the HeliJive with the 4525LE. Something to do with low IR delta wind motors and back EMF popping a diode in the HJ.

That is new for me, it is only HeliJive problem, not PowerJive??
I thought it does not matter.
I have 4525LE in a box over a year and i do not want to use it with any Jive (and possibly loose a heli) so i save it for new build with YGE (probably).
