Do use the settings in the transmitter manual use the ones in the helicopter manual. All modern gyros have most of the settings in the gyro not the transmitter. Even my Ikon uses the H1 setting for the swash plate in the transmitter. That gyro is specific to the 250 and 450 and cannot be used on any other helicopter. So many of the settings are built in and can't be changed. It is very easy to set up but you must have a swash leveling tool and a pitch gage to do it right then just follow the steps it the manual. As far as the slop in the head goes the plastic parts have a lot of play in them you will want to upgrade to a metal head before too long because it has much less play.
