Default Bent main hub?

So what is the best way to figure this out?

I put the main grips so the control tabs are on the same side, I put my digital caliper between the the blade grips while I spun the hub around taking the min and max measurement.

min 14.23mm
max 14.35mm

Don't know if that makes sense but I believe it is bent, I can feel it as I rotate it around. I would have ordered another but they are back ordered every place I have checked.

Thoughts?

That's the ticket. I pinch the grips with the thumbs and a finger. Then spin with another finger. You'll feel if it wiggles. Similar principal as checking for a bent feathering shaft.

another good way to make sure is removing hub from shaft, unscrewing one grip, and then, while holding remaining grip in one hand, try to spin the hub. Unbent hub will be easy to spin and while spinning it will not wobble. this is for times when you can't really tell with the method described in previous poists.
