First of all the gear is black. At 2100(ish) rpm wouldn't you expect a metal on metal junction to "shine-up". Secondly, an unlubricated metal-to-metal gear mesh would get hot. Why would anyone prototype such an inefficient transmission?

Maybe to Push it to the MAX without stripping gears.

BTW, looking at the main gear in person at first glance, it does look like it is plastic. Especially in contrast with the metal pinion.

You wouldn't strip gears, but with no lube the teeth would wear down really fast, leaving you with a noisy inefficient and vibrating gear-train.

1. Ability to upgrade sensor when the new one comes out.
2. If you plan to use vbar gov, wiring is not a hack

i work in mfg, we have all kinds of cnc machines. i often get to visit other shops in the supply chain, i have yet to see one shop in the usa that mass produces rc heli parts.

i know there are some that are but the majority are made "overseas", i dont see what

the big fuss is about, i for one dont care where its made, or any other of my helis, or

electronics, or my tv, or cell phone, or car. is any thing made in the usa any more?

I dont think thats the issue, we all know same factories produce many things both good and poor quality, which end we are at is the question, and when they need to supply part volumes what happens????

Default Really

Really, are we going to start this again....

If we spent as much time helping the poor or feeding the hungry as we do bitching about who makes what where, the world would be a better place.

Give it a rest.

It seems from the promotional materials that the Goblin is essentially a three piece helicopter. The drive assembly platform, the frame, and the tail boom. Is this correct? If so, this thing should be quick to build and quick to repair.

I didn't intend to start another big fight. Honestly I don't care where it is made but it will be built on my dining room table. Just waiting for the Red or Orange canopy to be released.

Manual still not up. Doesn't bode well that they missed 3 of their promises so far:
- Manual on Nov 30
- First batch in Dec
- Manual on Dec 30
