Carbon Fiber Mains!
So, I added 2 shims to the flybar dampeners, and today I picked up CF main blades. I'm excited
My question for you guys is, what real difference are the cf maind going to make in the "feel" and performance of the model? They seem like they're the exact same shape as the stock woodies? Not that I care, cause they look cool... |

Sokal- so you can definitely feel the stiffer blades; maybe I'll leave the woodies on for a bit longer, as I just stiffened the head as well. Don't wanna bite off more than I can chew!
Lock- keep practicing! Sounds like we're both in the same boat |

When you slam your heli into your MINI-Z racetrack in the basement, the carbon blades
make 10times the mess that woodies do! Last edited by jayrat; 08-05-2008 at 09:38 PM.. Reason: grammar |

Only since I crashed last week do I know this... they are carbon over wood core. I dunno if that is normal but another set I had was carbon over polystyrene foam core. They claim to be the same blades as Align and other brands, but as they came out of the mould a little blemished they are not painted with a brand and sold off cheap. Makes sense to me. Some are worse than others, but they just have bubbles in the gelcoat which you can see. They fly fine and if you can tell the difference you're standing too close to the disc |

That's cool. But since I've already spent the $$ and flown the eFlight blades, I'll stick with them. I can't really tell much of a difference in performance from the woodies, except that they're lighter- but I like 'em.
