Also, I can pretty easily blow the tail out during hard collective moves, even with increasing the tail pre-comp. I'm using 96mm Rails. |

Patrick @ KDE asked me to post this. He said that he "can't post due to being banned as a manufacturer"

I can't tell where you made the openings.
Edit: God, I'm dumb! I was looking for holes. I now see you just opened it up around the motor, similar to the Trex 700 canopy. Glad to hear this works. |

@teshreve
What did you use to cut away the canopy? Looks like you did a great job! Getting back to the 600XF motor, according to my JLog2 I pulled 6000W and 141A through my Jive 80 HV with this motor. And I could still bog it. I think you need 65C batteries to get the most out of this bad boy. 35C Voltz 3700s and 45C Nanotech 3300s don't seem to cut it, at least not with 13 degrees of collective pitch. |

Thanks.
I used curved lexan scissors. The fiberglass is likely VERY bad for them. I didn't care much as I have not actually used them for lexan in a few years now. Out with cars, in with helis! For this kind of thing I sometimes use my Fiskars titanium nitrate coated electrician snips It appears they no longer make them. Same as this. |

There is a nice gap at rest. It seems impossible they could touch, especially after manually forcing them. It's probably my leet piloting skillz Or more likely the ridiculous powah this thing creates. |

Sold! Time to take the 600pro to full retard! KDE are a great group of people to deal with online and by phone. I called them about some things that they didn't have on the website anymore, and they were cool enough to find some they still had and hooked me up. What batteries are any of you having good luck with, and what kind of flight times are you getting? And please don't say TP 65C packs are the only way to go. I just purchased six of the 5000mah packs this week for my 700's, and my wallet can't take another hit like that in one month.

I'm afraid that you'll need 65C packs to get the most out of this motor. The upside is this motor is badass!

Due to some other projects demanding my cash, I haven't got around to one of these yet!
The YGE failing is slightly worrying - do you think it was due to the motor? Do we need to go to higher rated ESCs for it? Anyone with a skookum compared vibes to stock?

zee,
You need to get one of these! Check my 600 Pro Vibes thread in the Skookum forum. Lots of before and after logs. Huge improvement, both in vibes and power. |

You're not helping my finances lol. Check out my eurofighter thread in the real time video forum here if you want to see where the money went...
Oh well, can't take it with you I guess. I'm off to check your posts in the skook forum.

I have one on the way! My 600mx turned into a vibrator and I trashed it. I can't wait to see what this bad boy will do.

After about 20 flights on this motor, and after hundreds of flights with the 600MX motor, my YGE 90 ESC fried, mid air. No damage to heli. Sent the YGE to Germany (!) for repair.
Couldn't go without, so picked up a Scorpion Commander 130 Opto. 3'ish minutes into first flight and just starting to let it hang out, the ESC cut out. I quasi controlled crash land, no damage. Unwilling to let it be, I take off again, and again it cut out, but this time more on my terms as I was expecting it. I did so a few more times and each time after a move that would really spike the amps, it cut out. Heavy high-speed collective transitions, etc. Motor was 180 degrees. ESC was also hot. I suspect it was going into over-current protection. This motor likely has an issue. I am going to swap 600MX back in there and send the motor in (even though via email Patrick said no way it could be the motor). Unless my heli is possessed. I fly it like it is, so maybe |

Well if it blew a YGE 90 and shuts down a scorpion 130, what chance does the stock CC 80HV have? I imagine that's what the majority will be running on....
I don't want my YGE to explode lol.
