Exclamation Phoenix DVD Only's - BUYER BEWARE !!!

Many folks are selling what seem to be legitimate Phoenix Flight Simulators DVD ONLY, NO DONGLE. Without a legit dongle, the software will not work. I thought the idea was to buy a DVD, then purchase the correct dongle/adapter combo for your transmitter. If these are legit DVDs, sobeit, although I have no idea why you would want just a DVD that you can't run. Anyway, if these are indeed bootlegged copies, I would have stayed away from them. Being a developer myself, I know what goes into developing software, and don't condone pirating.

Just a head's up.

If your copy of Phoenix did not come with a cable to connect to a transmitter, it's not a legitimate distribution. It is also sold with a transmitter (a Spektrum DX5e, I believe), but that distro also includes the adapter cable. The cable is effectively the copy protection mechanism.

There are USB adapters for transmitters that work with some simulators, but a 3rd party adapter for Phoenix does not make a software-only distribution legal . . .unless you're purchasing it to replace a broken adapter that came with your legitimately purchased copy.
