Stick with something that will work well with Align parts. Tarot fits that.

If you insist on going with a clone, I would get the tarot. I have had a few of their parts before and they a good quality. I would stay away from the HK stuff if you can. You could also check out the for sale section on here and keep an eye out for a used Align 450, as the quality will be higher than any of the other. Especially on things such as bolts, bearings, and parts fitment.

Havent got any experience with that tarot but do have 2 assaults.
There are a couple of tiny issues with them but it's not hard to fix them.
Got a 450 dfc TT in a align md500 fuselage and it flies great but it didn't fit without a fight because the fuselage wasn't designed around a pro frame.
The HK pro is a much lower quality then the assault.
In my opinion the assault is a great heli that's not to expensive but still good quality.

Problems with the assault (and HK450TT):
Pin the boom at the front. (And back for HK450TT)
The front TT bearing will spin inside the plastic so it needs a single layer of tape to make shure it stays in place.

Still not allowed to post pics otherwise I would put up a couple of my assault.

HK - cheese grade metal
Assault - need mods for reliability
Tarot - hands down for a great and cheap piece of machine

Regards.

Also consider the Alzrc 450. Also an excellent machine and less expensive than the Align.

So does align, the bearings in the recent kits aren't the best from what I've seen.

Attached the mod to the bearing of the assault.
1 layer of insulating tape

The ALZRC Devil 450 and the Devil 450 rigid have been updated and are pretty much the newest standard 450 kits on the market at the moment.

I did a review of the Devil 450 Rigid recently. I posted it here in the 450 forum.
Hopes this helps you with your decision

If I was building a scale heli, I'd be even more inclined to get something nice for fear of ruining a fuselage do to crappy parts or just having to take it on and off to replace parts that wore out too quickly.

You can find clean Align 450s without FBLs in the $100-$150 range. Tarot makes a really nice kit as well and you can find them on sale for about $100ish. While the Assault gets good reviews for the most part, I just don't see that savings. You save what, $20? Then you are stuck with a single supplier for parts if you want the exact replacements.

Another option not mentioned was Chaos, the 450 kit is $99 with free shipping and you could probably sell the canopy and tail for $20.

Tarot for sure. IMO they are the "best" clone manufacturer. They've also come out with some nice stuff of their own.

Red face big mistake.

One
Go with a 450L all the rest of the 450s are junk
Now
I own Align and Assault and Align is better but

Assault 450L Flybarless 3D Helicopter 3s Kit $84.95

Impossible to go wrong with a 450L 3s kit

I made the mistake of going with Align 450 Pro (Tarot 450) Well do not make the same mistake I made take my word for it. Any thing less than a 450L will be a big big mistake.
Last
If you dont own a Assault 450L then you just dont know. I own Align & Assault and have lots of Tarot parts I recomend Assault 450L

If the op is building a scale model then i'm not sure if the 450L will fit in a scale fuselage .
I think he's looking for something more of a 3s setup.
If the op is looking for 6s then the Assault 450L, would be the best in its price catagory ..I do have an assault 450L but im running it on 3s at the moment with the standard 450 boom , great heli with a tarot 3500kv , ES08MD servos, K-Bar and Lemon dsmx sat. all under €200.
