Default Converting fixed to collective flybarless?

I love my 4#3Q (Helimax Seacobra) helicopter. But, it is dragging down as I have less and less flight times with it, even with fresh batteries installed.

So, I am looking at it as a major engineering project. With the MSRX and NCPX, I wonder if I can convert this to collective flybarless. What do you think?

I spent 400 bucks converting a Walkera 4#1 and in the end it flew like crap. Save your money slowly but painfully and buy a good heli. Never upgrade cheap helis. People told me this advice but I didn't listen.

Edit. P.S. Here was my upgrade. It never flew right

My opinion? don't even think about it!
Why so much love for the 4#3Q? Why re-invent the wheel? Just upgrade to a modern, current heli.
The 4#3Q is now long out of production and parts will be hard to find.
Again... just my opinion.

I guess I just love the Huhey Cobra model and wanted to see if it could be flybarless.
I sized up the fuselage with the new Nano from Blade and it's too narrow for the wide receiver.

I'd like to fly this bird again, any suggestions? I heard there was a brushless conversion for it, would that be a worthy upgrade at least?

Hey Mark, I have done two brushless conversions on a 4#3B and a CB100 (see CB mod on the CB100 forum)
The CB flies and behaves like a dream, the 4#3, not so much.
It all depends on the RX, esc that you choose.
It may be a fun project and not that expensive and who knows... it may even fly ok...
