Mounting 3GX MR on a 450PRO body?

I bought a used never flown 450 Pro super combo (flybarred converted to DFC) that came with a 3gx MR that the previous owner couldn't figure out. It has to be mounted upside down in the back (the manual said this is the only orientation that works with it) , but there is no gyro tray in the rear on this model. I am thinking about having it in the middle under the skids. Thoughts?

Update: mounted it under the skids. It is pretty close to the motor, so it will be interesting to see how it behaves during a test flight.

HaindanSeek, I know this is now an old thread but wondering, how did the conversion go? I have a 450Pro with a 3GX on it. Thinking of changing it to the 3GX-MR. AlignTrexStore.com had these on sale for $30 and I'm not entirely happy with the 3GX hence the possible change.
