Default Govenor Magnets / Installation

I replaced the plastic fan with an Aluminum upgrade on my Raptor. When I installed my Magnets. I in-advertantly installed them both Positive side Down toward sensor.

I know that Some Governors, throttle jockeys etc need to have 1 positive polarity down and 1 neg polarity down so it does not read them both and thrash the settings.

I have the Futaba GV-1 and when I rotate it, I am getting Sensor reading on the pickup magnet of 97% and then the other comes around and it only registers 4 - 5%. I believe this govenor is only reading the one magnet but the book states to mount the opposite balancer magnet with opposite polarity.

Should I need to dismantle this thing and drill it out to put in opposite way.

Thank you[8|]

well, something isn't quite right because the GV1 sensor is only sensitive to 1 magnetic pole.

so, if you really put them in the same side 'up', then it should read 97% or so for both. If it's only reading 4-5%, then you should be OK.
