4525-520 Ultimate, 4525-520LE, 4530-540.... Or just the good old 5020-450 wich mikado puts in the 600SE kits.

But, for the everydag average flier, the 4035-450 will do.

Interested to hear more results as I was thinking about converting my Logo6003D 10s 4035-560kv to a 12s 4035-450kv heli (I can get one really cheap).

I've tried both the Pyro 700-45 and the Scorp 5025-440. Hard to tell the difference between the two in terms of performance. I also tried an Align 700MX 470KV. It was not bad but I could bog it more easily.

Why? 10S with the 560 is a really strong setup and light setup.
I am stretching my 600 back to an SE and keeping the 560 with 11 tooth on 10S. Hope the Jive 80 keeps up.

I'll be interested to hear how it fairs, I'm thinking of dropping down to 10S on my SE and want to keep the Jive 80+ HV and Pyro 700-45 I have on there now.

Pyro 700-45 is no problem on 10S w/J80Hv and 13tooth, done that and it's even a Mikado recommended setup.
The 4035-560 is another thing altogether as it can pull some serious current compared to the Pyro. I've logged 6Kw+ with it on L600 3D through Jive 80.
Going to stick to spec to start, 1800HS and 12* max pitch.

Yes it will fit the 30mm motor mount that now comes with the kit. I have the 5025-440 and I had to shave some material from the top of the frames but I think that won't be necessary with the shorter 5020-450.

So I better be more specific.

Anyone run a Scorpion HKIII 4035-450kv on 12s Logo600?

@ Beans ---- Any particular reason about specific motor ? do you have issues with that motor or just looking to see what experience people are having with it...? any specific ESC associated with that as well ? pays to elaborate exactly the question you are after an answer for :-)

Cheers

No issue, I can get a brand new one at a really cheap price ($100 less than a 500kv). I am currently running 10s on the 560kv but need new batteries and going 12s and more efficient and less heat makes sense to me.

I was running some old tired packs on a Jive 80A and once I installed the Scorp with vbar gov the packs really started to go down hill.

For some reason 6s batteries are cheaper and easier to get (generally) than 5s packs. I guess it is they are used more commonly.

I thought by being a little lower on kv I can run a higher pinion and have more contact on the gear.

I have flown a 500kv scorp and I was happy with the power just hoping the 450kv would be the same sort of power. The other option is a 4525 Ultimate on the E7 and the 500kv to the logo.
