Default Swapped out my 3400 tail servo for a Power HD 3688HB

Paid $80 for the 3400 on my Pro, it's been a great tail servo but I'm always looking to improve.

Ordered the 3688HB from HK for $20, put it in my Pro and handed it to a friend who flies a very nice Beam, also with a 3400 which may have a little slop.
I'm waiting for the oh $*** moment when this servo dies but after a good thrashing on Sunday with 4 packs we're blown away.
It fits in the 450Pro tray perfectly. When funds allow I'm going to buy a couple more for backups.
Using a GP750 Gyro.

Anyone else try this servo?

I have had two of them. The first burnt out because I was running it at 6v which it says it can handle. It cant though, only got about 10 flights out of it. The second I just swithced out for a 9257. I decreased the voltage to 5v and flew it for about 4 months with no issues. I must say it is comparable to the 9257. All in all I was happy with it. Should treat you well just dont run it at 6v!!!!

If you liked a 3400G, you should try the 3500G. It's a bit better than the 3400 and you have a real warranty on it if anything happens. JR have been the most reliable servos I've ever used, so I would buy another one without a doubt. Run it on 6V and not a single problem ever. Well worth price when you don't have to sweat a crash that could easily top the $75 price-tag of a good servo.

the ino-labs 261 is only $36 at hobby king. per the specs, it is stronger, lighter and faster. and parts are available from US based vendors.... too bad it doesn't fit the pro so good. I bought one for my pro and ended up using it on my 250.
