Erwin,
Which one was easier to fabricate and get flying, the 3-balde or the 4-blade?

AWESOME! With a capital AWE!
Actually, I can see an Apache under the four-bladed one.

Default 4 blade / 3 blade head...

With the 4 blade I did already a test flight. I got the Rakon Heli Swash plate as it's the only alu upgrade that still takes 4 links. To get the feathering shaft figured out was the biggest headache and I am still working on the anti-rotation set up. The 3 blade will need a modified Swash plate... So the 4 blade was/is way easier with the high amount of off the shelf parts...

But anyhow, after a light crash while test hovering, it turned out that my mechanic was not conservative enough in leaving metal on the bone... it breaks as easy as a match... so he has to redo the run... oh well.

Only once I figured that out i can marry the mechanics with the fuse... that will take a little bit longer...

Did anyone try these fuselages from Germany?

I am working on a M*A*S*H Bell following pgoelz's style..

Regards,

--Federico

I have the Hughes 500D modified to a OH-6 ordered from them... I just have to figure out the 4 blade head and get it flying right. They need the mechanics to fit it properly to the fuse for balancing reasons... all included in the ready to fly price...
Also i will have to decide if I will build it with a BL set up and use the 300 mAh batteries or the 550 mAh or keep it with the stock motor... but for sure I will have to move the Anti rotation pin to the back of the swash... as I don't want a cut in the fuse on the side....

Fly Safe!

Erwin

Another Varainte is the use of PET. I have it already built some fuselages, a Merlin is also on the schedule.
Here is my last "body" - a Schweitzer 300C. Not perfect, but already well-regarded.

I haven't followed too much in the rc heli arena recently (college will do that), but have all the indoor micro eflite heli's just waiting for scale fuselages, what scale of heli kits do you use? do you have a preferred manufacturer? what about online distributors (for the US, not Germany)? Thank you
