Default Electric conversion

I thought i'd share a few pics of my Blitz Avro conversion ..it was done with the help of a friend with a machine shop and a great deal of skill (my friend not me) it features stacked batteries protected inside the frames/canopy that raises the CofG nicely aiding performance and a scorpion motor driving via belt and pulleys to the standard Blitz mechanics also a second motor pinion to support the belt. With two Turnigy 6s 500Mah packs the CofG is nigh on perfect

A kit of parts is available Pm me if you'd like more info and i'll try and answer any questions

Default Avro's conversion spec's

Looks sharp! nice workmanship. How are the flight characteristics and flight times. What style are you flying with it (FAI, big sky, 3D ) ? What size motor are you flying? Rpm's? Any bugs yet? It's alot of questions but it looks like a very good design. I'm interested, what can you tell us?

Thanks very much racerouse.

So far iv'e only had a couple of gentle flights on some borrowed batts and ESC but hope to have a some batteries and an ESC for it shortly and will get some video and put it through it's paces but i'm happy to be able to report no bugs so far and flight performance is very very good the extra power and delivery of the electric motor make what is a heavy heli seem a lot lighter in the air .
I fly FAI/big air and with the 4035-500 scorpion motor i get 1900 on the head at 90% on the esc so the controller has some overhead to play with. I didn't push the flight times as the packs weren't mine but seven mins used just over 3000Mah
I haven't had a chance to put it on some scales yet but i don't think there's a huge difference but i will as soon as i get a chance

i hope this helps
