I wouldn't hold my breath on that. not being a smart butt I promise, just being honest. I don't get the vibe that a small heli interests matt.

Not only saturated, but my guess is the profit margin on a 450 is considerably less than a 700 size. At least if you are going to attempt to compete with the mass production models on pricing.

Currently there is only one helicopter that was designed from the ground up to spin 380mm blades. The other similar size helicopters that where designed from the ground up with 6S in mind only spin 360mm blades (without modification). The other 6S 360mm blade helicopters are mainly stretched 450 size 325mm blade helicopters not originally designed to be 6S 360mm blade machines.

I have confidence that Matt can come up with a Synergy design that can successfully compete head to head with the Goblin 380.

Sure Matt could do it, but a lot of us believe he does not have much interest in doing so.

Default Oh...to have a Synergy quality 500 *dreamin

Id really like to see 2 things coming. Something that I could use these RAIL 516s on (a real good 500) ...and a new layout on the N5cTT. Nothing at all wrong with the way my N5 flys, its just incredible...just like to see it designed like my N7 is. N7 is really easy to work on

I've never owned a 500 size heli. What is the benefit of a 500 size vs the current 550 size? All I can think of is that a 500 size would be easier on the single 6S pack than the 550 size. Other than that, I am not sure what the benefit may be.

Default 500s are just fun!

Ive had a few 500's, super fun to throw around...that were made even better with the Rail516s. The ones I've owned have had mini servo's, I'm sure (as if) Matt could design one off of the E5 platform shrunk but to accept full size servos. Light and strong with Synergy quality. Cheaper ESC, motors, batteries, and all around more affordable size than a 550. Its a Synergy..it would sell right? Just an idea. I realize that Synergy's market is a pro/compilation size choppers. Be cool to see in the future, id buy it

Maybe 480 size with an easy stretch to 516. That might make the size differance more noticable compaired to the E5. Could be as small as matt would want to go. Not to many 480's on the market.

I believe a modified E5 would make a very heavy 500 or 480. So i think it would need to be a brand new airframe with mini servos maybe the option to go to full size if wanted.

Old thread but

How about a shrunken 766 to 556 for a 550-class helicopter? That would be perfect for guys like me that don’t want to move to 12s helicopters.

I really fancy a Synergy helicopter after flying my friends E5.

I love my E5s. One of the reasons I grabbed a 766 was I saw a lot if the same design principles in it, so I don't feel like they need to replace the E5 any time soon.

Maybe a 380 class might be worth a look now as it seems popular, a little bigger than the 450 class that Matt didn't seem interested in, so maybe this would get his interest and round out the model range.
