Default XNova Speed 50 Tareq edition

Just got my grubby paws on an Xnova Speed 50 Tareq edition motor. 50mm stator with single YY wind of 5+4 for 530KV. Winds are really well done and quality of the motor is superb. Can't wait to test this in Banshee and TDR2.

- winded with fat single wire
- statorinsulation with paper and glass endplates
- YY termination

someone could laugh about this!

I'am to lazy to find back the thread, where a "special person" wrote some years ago, that all this is an only bad solution.....

Yes Ralph I agree with you, still it is an awesome motor, guys are recording nearly unbelievably low temps for the power this produces and being mass produced with this kind of quality is really awesome.

According to local pilots it has so much torque that the latest craze of 3 bladed heads are no bother for it.

I also agree with you.
a good shape rich in iron, fat magnets and well made (workmanship) and - as far I can see on the photo - almost no room for further improvement anymore!
so they completely reached the quality level of the really good rewinders with this serial motor.

btw.: what is the statorlenght?

The stator is 50X35mm, from measuring just the outside, so a taller stator than the Pyro850. I am not at home now but will do proper measurements when I get back to it, but it certainly appears taller than the P850.

Are you sure about that. I think it's an 5026 stator?

nice stuff, if you look at a transformer you can get an understanding of that stator design and why it results in the things it does. Great that there are still yet advancements and refinements in tech still being explored in this area. Threads like this cause one to ask and why the answers were not available sooner. Because I was assistive in helping another member understand his new xnova motor /esc problem this has now caused me to study yet more about many properties associated with this type of power train thereby coming to this forum and reviewing the associative threads.

Thicker magnets, stator, flux pathways. material trade offs, why some motors take the bull approach and some explore higher effectiveness through management, all industries can benefit from this new era of electric motivation. Look at e-helis- planks, scooters, cars, streetcars, busses, what is learned at the hobby level will always lend to bigger things.

don't ask me to become a politician (how to say something in ten sentences where it could be said in one, lol)

GOOD JOB, is all. When I see ads for new motors I think, "more of the same old rebranded/ restylized" pass, the xnova has made me reconsider.

my interests lean toward full size, btw.

Such an awesome color scheme! It looks like there is no way to oil the bearing farthest from the pinion. Or maybe I just can't see it in the pic.

I'd love to try the 4025-560KV on 12S in my Trex 550 but will find a 4025-650 used Scorpion sooner or later. That gold Scorpion just looks good to me man but these do as well.

If its a grease bearing you shouldn't oil it. that goes only to Scorpion's oil bearings.
