Walkera 450 Motor

Was flying my 450 and the pinion on the motor came right off ..I was able to save the heli as it was coming down. What motor do you guys suggest to replace for this bird?

you can use trex 450 motor but why cant you just get a new piniun?and add some lok tight! just a littel!did it destroy the motor?good save !i have a v400d02 and my pinion came loose in flight i saved it two!but my c clip that holds the shaft on the motor bl came off!im still looking for that clip its from RTF-HELI BL KIT! is your heli the v450 walkera?how she fly was wanting to step up?but im going with trex 450 pro in stead,dont like the fb,but ill try it i can always switch to fbl later! happy flying!

For my V450 I ended up getting that Turbo Ace (3950kv) upgrade:

Turbo Ace 804 Brushless Supremo Motor

Comes with 11T bass pinion installed. I'd say its expensive compared to getting a different 450 motor. However it does stay cool which I do mostly hovering, some throttle pumps. I do prefer it over the stock, which is a lil more noisy, and runs kinda hot for some reason

Thanks guys is that motor compatible to the stock ESC?

Yes. One other thing it does mention is to use the 11t pinion, and don't use the pinion that is on the stock motor that came with it:

. Please do not use the stock Walkera pinion, as the 11T pinion is the one prescribed to work with this motor.

So it's a drop in replacement.

Indeed! Stock motor works hot and it is noisy. Btw, people here (brazil) love when that motor and carbon blades start screaming on the field... Its a unique sound.
