Default YEP ESC Glitching problem

I have just fitted new servos, new gyro, new Orange R615x receiver and a new YEP 40a ESC, to my Blade 450 3D, however I am experiencing some issues.

I have bought the programming card with the ESC and followed the settings that I found on a previous post.

When I move the servos, be it the cyclic or tail servo, the receiver light blinks (which is usually steady when working correctly), and the servo(s)glitches. From what I have read, it would seem to be something wrong with the BEC, but this ESC has a BEC of 5A, and a continuous over 5v output, so I don't understand?

Does anyone know what else could be wrong?

These are the servos I am using:

Cyclic - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arehouse_.html

Tail - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arehouse_.html

Thanks,
Joe

What do you mean by the servos glitch? What are they doing exactly?

When an input is given they move then jolt/pause and then keep moving. It is very slight jolt/pause, but not something I want when flying!

Is there any slop in the servo gears?

None at all.

I think the problem is electrical though , as the receiver LED blinks on and off. When the receiver light is off (a split second) the servos stop too. When the receiver light is on/steady, the servos work fine.

From your parts list, I can tell that you are trying to build your heli for as cheap as you can. You will quickly find that doing so ends up being more expensive (and frustrating) than just buying quality parts in the first place. I know that's not what you want to hear, but that is what I and countless others have learned thru hard experience.

Given what you've said, I would try a different receiver and see how it performs.

I knew that I took the cheap route, but hoped it would work reasonably. I've got a Spektrum AR6115e receiver, which i'll try then see what happens.
I did expect problems when I bought these servos and receiver, but didn't have the funds to put anything higher quality in it.

Well, you picked a good heli to do it on. You can get cheap Hobbyking canopies for a Trex 450 for about $7.50, fiberglass blades from HK for $4-7 a pair. If you do that, a typical crash will run you about $30. That's pretty hard to beat!
