Default HS-65MG VS HS-65HB?

Is there a big difference in the two? And would they work for tail sevo? Seen a hs65-hb on ebay not a bad price. Any suggestions
Thanks

I think they are basically the same deal.. someone mentioned that the HB servos are actually a little better (it was either faster or more tourqe) but anyway... both resist stripping a lot better than the stock eflite servos... I've had 2 HB servos strip due to severe crashes but they were super easy to fix ($5 for gear set)

I have the MG on the tail. Works perfect.

HB is karbonite, MG is metal. HG is lighter than MG. Both not good for tail servo not fast enough.

Not fast enough? What does that even mean? They are sure faster than my thumb so therefore fast enough for me. Rock solid hold (with my GY401) and instant 5/second piros when my thumb tells it to!

hb vs mg the exact same servo except for the gears,
mg=metal gears
hb=karbonite(plastic, although very strong for plastic)

as far as using for a tail servo it will work but the tail specific servos of course are better suited for the tail faster and more torque.

yeah any servo will work it's just a matter of preference and how much tail holding power you need.

To outfly a 65MG you got to be a serious hardcore 3D pilot. They are great servos but don't center so well.

Yo Sly. Faster is always better for the tail since your gyro (rather than your thumb) is what directly controls the servo. The gyro is constantly sensing even the slightest yaw movement, and the faster your servo can react to those inputs the more locked in your tail will be. Of course that doesn't mean you need a better tail servo. I'm reasonably satisfied with my $3.65 HXT900 lol.

I am running the MGs in my 400 and have been very happy. AFter going through tons of the stock servos, I have not had to replace an MG yet, and wow what a difference to the control and feel of the heli. FWIW, I am running a 3500G on the tail.
