GoPro made for Hurricane 550

Hi there.

I got a few PM´s with questions on how and what i used to make this video:

Gaui Hurricane GoPro 2014 GoPro test (5 min 18 sec)

I used a GoPro and made a simple mount for the camera. There is a piece of rubber between the brace and the GoPro base. This was only a test flight to see how it worked. It can be a lot better of course but the stills are really okay. You have to experiment on what kind of foam/rubber to put between the brace and GoPro base.

Oh and not to forget. Im still flying my Hurry alot. Now it has a sentimental value to me and i try to keep it in good condition - its is my first real helicopter. How many are still active Hurry fliers ?

Excellent pics.

I always enjoy when part of the heli is in view along with the scenery, it adds a bit of perspective and gives a nod to our hobby. Btw thanks for the new windows background. Someday I hope to have a proper flying field just beyond my front door.

Thanks kavic5150. Well in my younger days (im 42 now) i lived in a big city but man i glad to live on the country side now. Peace and quiet - but okay, can live with taking the car when ever i need something ... like a pizza.

Only "bad" thing is when we got snow (tons of it) we are fully dependent on our farmer neighbor to clear the road - also when i have to go to work at 5.30 am.

Thanks for the mounting ideas. Getting ready to by a clone gopro and I'll mount it the same. Yes my hurricane is my first real big heli. Started with the walkera v400 like a lot. I'm very attached to it. Many say sell it and find a new gaui x3 or 5. I like it and will stay with it as long as I can keep it in the air

I did get it end of summer last year. Lots of jello effect so I need to rework the mount to try and eliminate the jello.
