mcpx v2 xtreme 16000 kv and xp 7a
Hi, I was wandering if the xtreme spin 16000 kv motor would still have loads of power on my xp 7a esc. I wandered this because at the moment I have an aeo rc m5 motor that cant do the smack 3d I want. Do any of you think that this motor would work great with this esc? I wanted to know because I ordered it and a few 300 mah 35c batteries with an 8t and a 9t pinion. Anyone know or have this setup themselves?
Thanks, justin. |

You'll be better off with going and posting in the mcpx subforum but i had a mcpx with a spin 16000 and it was a beast of a motor, i had to use 1s 550mah to get reasonable flight time and i ran a 120sr tail motor with plantraco prop just to hold the tail

Alright, I wish I could use 2x 3.7v batteries in a series or something but i guess the motor wont take that. Thanks for telling me though cause I was hoping it'd be wayyy more powerful than the one I have on there.

U could but u would need to charge two packs per flight, solder on an extra plug on the board and glue on an extra tray to the skid....not worth it in my honest opinion...they arent even that expensive

LOL My 300s didnt even get it off the ground, But they were old, I did a MCPX bl conversion too, with the 200s was like , spoolup, over with flying, got some 600s , and fun I had flying, But havent flown my MCPX in like 4 months, busy on my 450 lately.
I dont have a sim, I use my helis for my sims, IRL is better to learn with in my eyes. |

Although keep in mind that the higher KV motors tend to irritate the gyros on a V2 3-n-1 so everything has to be mechanically sound.

That looks very neat lol I wish I could do that good of a job lol... I was just amazed that mine flew It did some great 3d today after I built my own main shaft for it to stop the vibration issues. The only problem is that I dont have that big of a front yard (It's full of trees) so when it was inverted at 100% throttle it nailed a wall So I'm going to have to order some frame pieces from microheli. It might be a few days before it starts working.

Here a question for NCcraig or any of you guys smarter than me
I know blheli software is governor capable and since the xp7a is flashed (or would require a convertor like "thesteve") is there a procedure to enable it (an rpm hold mode/governor) or is it automatic with a flat TC in the transmitter? I want to make sure I'm getting consistent head-speed

Hi guys! Just wanted to say that I got the motor in the mail today... For the first time with my mcpx i actually had to turn the throttle wayyy down lol.. Its so fast that it is hard to control, I will hopefully be able to pick up a new frame for it thursday because mine got broken It was insane though! There was no bog and moving the throttle stick at all made it jump!

Its nice but cant put out a whole lot...in the right hands it can be very good at 3d but it is unfogiving to smack since the power is good just not enough for hard moves.....idk i loved it more than my mcpx but now that im more skilled i would want a bigger sturdier machine
