Lightbulb The possibilities...

I've been thinking (yes, dreadfully painful) and had an idea that could make this heli more viable for someone like me with a 450 (or better) already for performance flying. What about using this as a base for a scale build? For me, I have half an interest in having a scale heli but can't really afford to build another Trex so I don't consider it too often. I'm not sure how the current fuses accept the 450 itself but I'm thinking if the mounting method is adjustable or universal then this could be an affordable base for an MD500 or whatever your preference is. It seems to me that even if the servos/ gyro are still a little underpar for 3D (not assuming one way or another, just sayin') they should still be adequate for scale flying. Maybe someone with more experience with scale fuses can validate or expose holes in this plan but it's just something I've been thinking about.

That dose sound like a good idea, I actually want to go scale on my next 450 build, however I would want a 4 bladed head on mine and I don't think you can go FBL on the B450, can you?

What about the Blade 450 would prevent going FBL?

I thought I read somewhere that you can't put a FBL head on the Blade 450 however I could be wrong, I really thought I read that somewhere though, WTF!!

It's possible that you read that, but I know you can run a FBL on the Blade 400, and I can't see anything in the 450 that would prevent it... I do have to qualify that statement with the fact that I haven't examined a Blade 450 up close, so I could be mistaken.

It really seems unlikely that a FBL head can't be used on the B450, I know I heard that FBL setups don't work well on plastic frames, weather that's true or not IDK . Even if for some reason FBL won't work on the B450, I'm sure someone will mod it until it dose.
