Is it OK - or at least SAFE - to use analog servos with helis larger than 450-size? If i had analogs on a 600 with beastx, for example, would it be safer to switch them out asap to digital servos or would it be fine to keep running them til they wear out or whatever?

Not sure why you are trying to use analog servos on a FbL system. Even most of the tail gyro systems started to eliminate the analog servos. The is no way to switch setup to analog signal. So no its not save.
Keep in mind - analog and digital servis do use a different signal. All you might do is simply damage hese servos.

Converted a 5 year old 450SE V2 to FBL using a 450Pro FBL Head (non-DFC) and I did not even change the servo horns. I have HS-65MGs with a BeastX and it works absolutely fine.

The only drawbacks I've had is that the servo cases are more easily damaged now in a crash.

Looks like you have two separate questions here.

Yes, it's ok and safe to use analog servos on larger than 450 size helis. Helis have been around a lot longer than digital servos, so analog is all we used to have.

As for using analog for cyclic on a Flybarless heli, you'll get some folks who say it's ok and some who say not. I think the potential problems are servo speed (needs to be faster when getting signals from a gyro/flybarless controller), and supposedly digital servos can give full torque thru-out the entire stroke (I can't verify that). So as long as your analog are fairly fast, you will be ok. You might not see the difference until your flying gets aggressive.

I currently fly with 3 cyclic analog servos, beastx, no issues what so ever

thnx for the replies. actually it was just one question not 2 separate that's why i posted in this particular thread. i was referring specifically to the use of analog servos with beastx (which DOES ALLOW it) on helis larger than 450. and really i don't care about difference between performance since i don't fly that aggressive (yet), i just wanna know if there's any danger of analogs suddenly giving out under the stress of a FBL system and thereby leading to risk of injury to people (specifically me, since i fly alone) or heli.
