I think Florida is probably best as a winter destination. I was in south Miami around the end of April 2015 and it was already very warm and humid but I suspected it would be great in the winter as it's a bit cooler and drier.

Yes it is much nicer in the winter
That being said the Phoenix area of Arizona is even better in the winter

Well in FL its always either hot or hotter in my opinion.

Best time to go is Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb. After that it starts to get too hot and humid.

When I was there in late November to almost mid december, as had some 85 degree days, hot in my book for summer. The coldest spell at night it was 47 degrees, and I was in Sanford and there were people dressed in almost eskimo clothes, they crush ice and put it on hay and people slide down the hill with it. Best you can have in "winter" in FL. They also put up a plastic ice skating rink, they rent ice skates and you glide on plastic.

Happy new year everyone. I'm in the Denver area. Mountains are getting pounded with snow but been pretty mild down on the high plains of Denver. My gasser is great to fly in cool/cold weather as it comes standard with a nice silver hand warmer on the right side! Whoop, whoop

Ive been to FL in Jan... quite nice. Also been in June, we got lucky that it was cooler than average and most days was only in the high 80s/low 90s. Luckily we where on the beach and could swim or duck into AC.

I have relatives in Phoenix and visited there in Feb one year. Had some near 90 days even that time of year, but at least it was dry. I dont know how people stand it there in summer....
