King2 - Can't get blades tracking
I've followed several tutorials and videos on this forum and other forums, but I just can't get the blades tracking. It's not just slightly off, it's a 3-4 cm gap at the worst.
I've tried:
- Make sure all trims and pots are at mid/zero positions
- Ensure swashplate is fairly level
- Hold flybar level, then use pitch gauge to adjust blades to -2 degrees in idle mode and throttle stick at mid position
- Keep one blade unadjusted at -2 degrees, then try to adjust the other blade to track with the first one. It always overshoots with 2-4cm either above or below the other blade. I only do 180 degree turns between each try.
- Try to adjust the first blade to "chase" the second blade in the hopes of them matching up better at a different position. No improvement.
- Replaced carbon blades with stock wooden blades
- Replaced the small horizontal blade mount shaft
See when doing about 50-70% throttle. It gets slightly worse with more throttle. It has a nice track until about 30-40% throttle, and when increasing throttle slowly it suddenly just jumps from a few millimeters off track to 2-4 cm off track. There are little vibrations before the "jump". Close up image of assembly here.
I picked up the King2 after a few years of it lying in the closet so I really don't recall what started this, but it was either a minor crash or replacing blades, tail blades and boom with carbon fiber parts.
I've been at this for 3 days straight now with no improvement. Hope someone can point out something I've missed.
Cheers!
