Default RL53 vs. Electric ??

Ok. So I had a Raptor50 kit for which I bought a NIB RL53, muffler, etc. After seeing Raptors drop off the table for parts support, sold the kit and bought a P6, with intent of using the RL53 in it. It would be my first nitro heli...

As I get ready to start my build, now I'm second guessing myself, thinking now of the pro's and con's of building the P6 as electric (v2 with clutch).

I have 6S 2750's and 3S 2200's for my Trex 500 and 450 respectively, don't have any 4S's

What I have so far:

Pros:
- Clean (no cleaning muck out of everything)
- Way cool (start sound)
- Smoother?

Cons:
- Will probably lose $$ on RL/Muffler even NIB
- Out of pocket $$ for electric kit

Any thoughts out there from folks who've done both?

Nitro models are fun. The sound, the smell, and the whole experience far outweigh the inconvenience you anticipate. Add to it the ability to fly as much as you want because you can land, fuel up, and immediately have another go. Yes, it involves another skill set to learn but overall, I bet you say to yourself a year from now . . . I'm glad I did it.

Thanks John. That's just the "nudge" I needed.

You gotta have a 600 nitro since you already have a 500 and 450 which are great for those quick flights.
Spending the day with a 600 nitro is so much more rewarding.

The fact of being able to fly, refuel, fly, etc......especially if your like me and find yourself doing just an afternoon of autos......plus the nice smoke trail against the sky still puts a grin on my face....😃

Thanks everyone. In between trips to watch my son's varsity baseball and his travel team, I hope to start assembly in the next couple weeks.

One Elec and one nitro Pantera heli is my end goal. Best of both.
