Gaui x4ii that's stretched to use rail 516s
Hi! I sold my x5 but still had my custom canopy laying around so I tried the x5 canopy on my stretch Gaui x4ii. The only thing I had to do was make 2 new holes for the front canopy post to fit it. So I really have a modernized x5 now.

Yup, it does look lovely
I got it in a store in Poland (in Warsaw to be exact) called Art-Hobby - which is also a GAUI distributor in PL. The website is all in polish however: http://www.arthobby.pl/index.php?page=8&prod_id=1755 http://www.arthobby.pl/index.php?page=8&prod_id=2044 and more parts for X5 (with more colour versions of canopies as well): http://www.arthobby.pl/index.php?page=5&kat_id=175 hope it's ok to post these links?

My flying season is pretty much over for this year until spring but we had some decent weather yesterday and I was able to take an extended lunch hour and get a couple quick flights in at the club.

X5
I picked up a little X5 from my LHS. I think it's cute, LOL. Flys nicely and has a light, but stable feel.

Here's my second hand X5. It still has original Motor, ESC and tail servo. I'm flying it on Spektrum FC6250HX, after an incident with the BeastX it came with. I wanted rescue and had the 6250 laying around after scrapping a Blade 330S.
I've been struggling to get more than just one or two flights per session on it. If I'm not dumb-thumbing there's a mechanical issue, and if there's neither some external force cuts my flying window short. Starting to question whether the bad spirits that haunted my 330S followed with the 6250 to my X5. Oh, well, I like how it flies when it flies. |

I've had this guy for a few years now. Doesn't seem to mind the cold and snow, as long as the Lipos are warm!

Knock on wood, but I've had 4 x 4 successful flights with it now. I'm not counting the last landing at -5°C, I got surprised at the sink rate when I hit throttle hold a couple of feet high and made a hard landing. Snapped the landing gear and one ski fell off. Managed to keep it level with cyclic until the head speed was almost gone, so no more damage! :
