the motor is switched, soldered and tested.
data are as expected.
difference between the partmotors in n spec is 0,3%.
n spec with yge 18° is 587/V.
lower on scorpion (563/V) and jive (545/V)

its a little monster again.
the winding is good for more amps, as most of controllers and batteries can give.

it doesn't matter for winding, how long the package is.
but you just can try it with 4535 kit.
http://www.scorpionsystem.com/catalo..._4535_10_Mkit/

and 4535 will produce more than enough for most of buyable helicopters.

4540 is only an option for real 800 helis (xxtreme, suzi laos) or bigger
or for absolutely crazy 700 class pilots which are looking for power overkill and have a lot of money (you will need yge 320 HV and the best batteries you can get and a lot of spare gears ) !

Is one of these crazy pilots interested in such prototype?

Yes.. I'm in the process of custom building a 800 size Synergy E9. She is a little heavy anyway so 16s
and 800 blades are the ticket IMO..

for 16S you will need a much lower n spec!
in laos 800 we use less than 400/V.

Well mabey i'd just have to settle for 14s then. Already running a Pyro 700-45L on 14s and a Xera 4030 3Y (470 Kv) on 14s.. Wouldn't mind 5000 Mah packs on the 800 but the Synergy E7 i'd like to keep to around 3850 on 14s. With the gearing for the E7 i think a 400Kv motor on 14s will work out geat..

to get 400/V you will need a 5+5YY winding.

this is such one on another (shorter) 45XX with 1,5mm wire:

the 4+3x1,9YY is easier to do.
there is also good place for cooling into the slots,

or for an additional wire.
if it is needed, a 4+4 x 1,9 is also doable.

some more about the prototypes for the comming soon 4540 series from scorpion:

For those not wanting to rewind their own motors, will the workmanship of these factory motors be china or german quality Ralph?

how to say for:

parts form factory, winded in germany, build together in the factory.

ButI never heard about probems with the also in germany winded 4530 (first batch of 100 pcs.)
and also all the 4535 which were made in the same way.
so i think, all users will be happy.

in fact, there is no much room for improvments by rewinding.
the copper losses are just low with factory winding. the main losses in theses motors came from the ironside.
and the cooling will become bader with thicker wire.
only for pure speed (near the world record setup) you may have an advantage.
but of course you can do the same plays with it as I do - for having fun in rewinding and having a very personal driving system. or an additional part for your temple.

Igot a new report about the motor in suzi laos with 14S and 16S setups.
torque, torque, torque.
amp peaks not more than about 100Amps - the massive torque is the secret behind this result.
4540 has about 20% more torque than a 4535, compare this to the additional weight.
the heli will be "lighter" in air (felt).

Wow 100 amps only, that's incredible! For sure the personal relationship on winding yourself is priceless. But so is the bragging rights that your motor is unique! You know I go to the field with my great handwind then my friend rocks up with a similar motor bought in shop, that's taking the wind out of my sails a wee bit! One reason I'm thinking pyro 800 but is the 5020 or 5025 not too small for 14 or 16 s?

don't forget, that the laos is a very very lightweight heli.
the pilot spoke about "a sheet of papper in the wind".

lets speak about pyro again, when it is tested!
kontronik has built good motors everytime!
their motor is the last and newest one. so they had the time to inspect all others on market about their problems and make it better than their concurrents in this class.

Sounds like a great project. Xxtreme 800 with a Kosmik 200+HV and a custom wound 4540.

don't underestimate the combination with 16S - YGE 160UHV or 320UHV and v-stabi govenor!

I works really good into the suzi laos 800.

and custom winding is imho not really needed, only nice to have.
you can add about 1 grade in wire thickness against these factory windings - you won't feel the win from it, may be a little, little bit with the best batteries you can find.

I have a yge 320a 16s esc sitting here. Was thinking of building a monster but waiting for the right heli!

I came first in australian speed cup with 4535le. The factory kasama pilot beat me by 10kmh but could not accept trophy as he donated it! He built speed machine, mine was "standard everyday setup"

If i buy 4540 i want dr okons motor!!!
