Default T6XA setup

I working on converting my Bee to my computer radio, a T6XA. I've searched the forums and people dont necessarily agree on the ability of this radio to work with Collective pitch helicopters, but I believe it can.

I successfully located the swashplate menu, of which there are 4 options for the servo configuration. The option I selected is SWSH 3, which is a 120 degree servo configuration. The manual even states... "With Aileron inputs, the aileron and pitch servos tilt the swash plate left/right. With elevator inputs, the 3 servos tilt the swashplate fore/aft. With pitch input, all 3 servos raise the swashplate up and down."

This is precisely how my Bee is setup save for one issue. The swashplate diagram, in the book is reverse of my setup. On my Bee, the pitch and aileron servos are in the aft corners while the elevator servo is on the front center. The book is expecting 2 in the front and one in the back. I thought by reversing the servo travels, I could fix this problem but it doesn't seem to work. Im confident this radio can be preperly adjusted to work on the Bee but this is the first time I'm attempting to setup a helicopter from scratch.

Default Worked through it

My persistent nature paid off. Here is what I discovered.

The T6XA(s) is the radio I own which unlike the other variants of the 6X fixed wing radio, it does indeed have the necessary swash plate mixing for a CCPM 120 degree swash. Where I had trouble was in the swash mixing menue understanding that the -100% to +100% travel volume determines the travel direction(similar to servo reversing) for the swash. Once i got the cyclic control setup, all I had to do was make my pitch servo in the negative range and viola, my throttle stick properly adjusted the collective blade pitch up instead of the down that it was giving me. I also has to play around with which servos got plugged into which rx port.

The other hiccup that I ran into is that on the ESKY bird, the swash is reversed from what Futaba expects. In the way that Futaba expects the elevator servo to be in the 6 o'clock position(assuming you are standing behind the helo) whereas ESKY puts the elevator servo at the 12 o'clock position.

Consider the issue resolved.
