I made a prototype paper canopy tonight. Thinking of making a wooden form and doing some plastic versions.

Thanks isaac! If I get any made I will hook you up with one. I think the hardest part will be making the form, I have plans to make a home made vacuum form press to vacuum fit the plastic.

Thank you. Yea I think that will be The hardest part esp so it can clear the blades also so it wont interfere with the blade wash.

The stock canopy is soooo flimsy and weak , even more so than the mcpx. We need better canopys for sure

Will the canopy ever take a hit in a crash? It looks like the blades are higher than the canopy so it wouldn't matter much if it was durable. Once Bruce gets the paper template ready just make one you like out of photo paper and coat the inside with plastidip and it will last until think fades

Well, I should have been posting pics of mine according to tracking info. But thanks to absolutely horrible postal service in my area, who knows when it will get here. Glad I paid for that expedited shipping

Default canopy

Red solo cups work just fine for canopies
and can be cut to hold a camera too.

Here are some pic of the lil mod I did. Mounted a camera on top of the Mqx permanent. so I cut the canopy out through the top so the camera will see.
