RF 7.5 Physics

Has anyone else noticed that overspeeds and blade scrapes are improved quite a bit in RF 7.5?

Also, I downloaded the Mikado Logo 700 XXtreme model designed for RF 7.5 and i'm pretty impressed. The tail pitch slider moves, the swash plate visually moves, and it overspeeds very well and Auto's much more realistic than any of the RF 7 models.

Am I just crazy or does it seem they have improved some of the physics with RF 7.5?

Physics didn't change since 6.5, I just put quite a bit effort into that 700

Which parameters do you usually need to adjust (other than gyro params) to tweak the physics of a model?

The ones that make the physics... Blade parameters, weights, drag factors, that kind of stuff..

I have been messing with RF7.5 and the new Logo and I am impressed. The Logo flies better than any heli in Realflight imo. Thank you Johnny for designing yet another great heli

Johnny Great job! it Flys and feels like the real thing! Except for power and that is easily tweaked by turning up mechanics power to 106. Thanks for the best sim model ever!!

Great job sir! I would say its worth upgrading to 7.5 just for this model. Definately a game changer.

Umm... I dunno, let me see...
First file in my 700 project folder dates back to 10-3-14, release was on 10-13-14. Hm. Felt longer than 10 days... Oh well.
Might be interesting as well: I've got 834mb of 3d files, textures and pictures in that folder

Johnny I think Knife Edge should send you a royalty payment for your logo 480. Because they are going to sell a lot of copies because of that model.

I concur with others....Johnny's models are awesome, but the Mikado 700 is even heads above the rest! I wanted to work on Auto's and overspeeds and this model is far more accurate than any others....FAR more accurate. Great job Johnny!! It's been my fav model for quite some time. I venture to say better and more accurate than even the goblin models made by gronimod (though they are also pretty damn good)

+1 on Jonny's work. Top notch.

You can get some very realistic results in RF, just know that you have to go in and play with various values to get things just right. Weights, pitch, aerofoil drag, PIDs for FBL helis, etc. I've got the N5C flying like an N7 and the Synergy E6 spec'd out and flying as an E5S. Really close to "real" now, but as Johnny said, it's a lot of testing/work.
