Default Tips from building my 470

Finished building my 470LP yesterday figured I'd post a couple tips after my experience. You can chime in anything you have to share as well.

1. Do not overtighten bolts. If you crank too hard or use too much Loctite the spline on the metal inserts that go in the plastic will strip in the plastic and you won't be able to tighten or loosen the bolts

2. Build the heli in half. Attach everything to one side of the heli (I chose left) and do all the wiring, installations, etc with the right half off. This makes wiring 1000x easier and allows you to ensure nothing is rubbing or being crushed.

3. Install the ESC motor wires forward and fold them back. Then bring the battery wires forward. I Zip tied them to the motor leads to prevent them going too far backwards when the heli is flying and rubbing the motor can.

That's all I have at the moment, I might have more as time goes on. This heli went together extremely easily and I'm really impressed with the new belt design. Very simple and the tensioner works a treat.

I built my 450L and 550L with the right side frame off as well.
Yeah, it does make wiring a lot easier to route and make nice and tidy.
I put double sided tape in places on the frame so the wires would stay inplace before a secured them. Then I could see how it looked and meant I wasn't cutting zip ties to mkae any changes.
Once I had everything how I wanted it, then I zipped tied them in place.
