Default IR Measurements

I think it would be interesting for people to post the IR's of new batteries after they break them in. Or even after they've had them for quite a few cycles.

I have two 3S 2200 30C mah Glaciers and two 3S 2250 35C Pulses all with around 75 flights on them, kept at storage voltage and never over discharged. I decided to test them yesterday and the Pulses have IR's in the mid teens and the Glaciers are in the 5-8 mOhm range.

I'm going to be buying some new batts soon and empirical evidence as to true C rating would be nice.

We'd need brand, mah and C rating.

Who's up for this?

I have a bunch of Pulse Ultra 6s5000 45Cs... both singly and in stick packs... all are between 100 and 140 cycles... most all cells still have IR's between 1-2m mOhm per cell with just a few packs having 1 cell just over 3 mOhm... two seasons! Thats a first. These packs are really holding out well. I never run them below 3.8v/cell and always field charge and store at 3.8v/cell.

Thanks for the links. Very interesting. I was hoping to create something like the RCGroups thread you referenced. It looks like not a lot of people are participating in that one though. I'd love to have something that stays alive and maybe is busy enough to become a sticky.

You read about manufacturers moving up and down in quality as well as hopefully getting some more true C rating info out there. I think it could be very useful.

It looks like not a lot of people are participating in that one though and heli's tend to be tougher on batteries than planes. I'd love to have something that stays alive and maybe is busy enough to become a sticky.
