Verdict on Gaui X4
So what is the final verdict on the X4?
I know that it is too expensive, so dont go there again, but is it well engineered and are it's flying qualities as good as the X5? I ask this, because I have the basic kit winging its way to me. I know I should have asked this before I clicked, but, believe it or not I had brand new unused parts that happen to be a perfect fit for this heli. Including a Scorpion motor, 3 x 510 servos and a 520 for the tail a 100amp esc (spare from my X5's and overkill I know) an AR7200BX FBL unit and 2 sets of FBL 425mm blades. I have been tossing up which 500 sized heli to get and went with what is a know quality product in Gaui I just havent read any flight reports anywhere, and would love to hear some, positive I hope! Thanks Phil.

Wow,
Clearly nobody owns an X4, looks like I might have to do a review and flight report comparo to the X5.

There was a lengthy thread about it. On this forum. Let me see if I can find it.

Dunno.. maybe the protos and Align have this market covered here.
I'd probably buy a protos for a 425mm or stretch for that size maybe. Be interested in your comparing the X4 to a protos

Thanks cdsexton,
Hmmmm, I hope mine is all OK regarding some of those build issues, I just find the 500 size hlei a great size and you can fly them anywhere. It will be interesting to do a comparo with my Trex 50 FBL with the AR7200BX, which I must say is turning out to be a gem of a heli.

Yeah, the Align 500EFL Pro is hard to beat. It's really easy to build and it flies so well. Tons of power and very reliable. If you buy the super combo, make sure you swap out the 3GX for another FBL unit. The 3GX is !^$#@% *censored*
