450 3D conversion
Will the IKON work with a converted FBL Blade 450 3D, or do I need a different ESC?

The 450 3D and 450X come stock with a 35A ESC so your converted Blade with the iKon should be fine as long as you are running a similar ESC.

Anyway to disable the soft start in the OEM ESC? I get a very long delay in autobail, like 3 seconds just to engage, then spool up is soft just like startup.

I'm pretty sure you can. Check the manual to see how to set it or use a programming card. Every ESC that I've laid my hands on have the ability to set how to set the start of the motor.
