Default CIU-2 Drivers installation

Can someone walk me through. Running Windows XP. Downloaded drivers and extracted files, still cannot get it to work. Keeps stating the device driver is not installed.

Old thread but might be usefull to post the answer.
Start windows and press F8 just when booting.
This gets you in the startup options.

The selecvt the (olmost bottom option) something called "Disabled forced driver signing"
This enabled Windows 7 to install a driver which is not digitally signed by Microsoft.
Worked for me !!

Angry

I wanted to update this topic because of what just happened to me.

I have a GY520 and a CIU-2 usb programmer. I read this forum and several others in preparation for using. First of all I would like to know why the software for this device is not included with the device? Second of all I would like to know why you have to go to multiple websites, Futaba and Hobico to get BOTH the software and the installation instructions for that software? The manual for neither the GY520 nor the CIU-2 show how the unit should be connected to a gyro?

I got the software downloaded and installed for the 64 bit version of windows 7 from the Futaba site but when I plugged in the CIU-2 I got a message saying that the drivers were not loaded. I messed around with it for awhile and decided to try and get some help from Futaba.

BIG MISTAKE.

After waiting on hold 3 times I finally got to speak to a guy named John who was of zero help. When I say that I mean that he walked me through zero steps in an effort to try and get the software working. He was curt and not interested in my problems stating simply that once I got the computer manufacture to help me install the drivers that the software should work fine. I told him that for a newly released device that his response was unacceptable and reminded me of a time 10 years ago when these types of computer interface problems were common and frequently unresolvable. USB technology is mature and there is no reason for any device to be unrecognizable by a new, 1 year old computer. I asked to speak with his supervisor and was told that he was UNAVAILABLE. I told him I would like a call back and he stated that I could try back in about an hour and maybe get through to a second level tech. I again stated my displeasure with the lack of support and when I asked for the full name of the tech I was speaking to and the direct phone number of his supervisor he hung up on me.

FUTABA. I will be returning the GYRO the SERVO and the CIU-2 to the LHS and it will be a LONG time given a choice before I vote with my dollars in your direction again.

Your mileage may vary.

Funny, I've installed it on XP, Win7 32 bit and Win7 64bit version on three different pcs.

Took no longer than a few minutes to install and communicating with gyro.

Next time, come to the forum for help rather than ringing tech support.

hey guys, need a little help installing the drivers too.

running Windows XP.

software downloaded, unzipped, installed.

CIU-2 driver downloaded, unzipped, but won't install...

i get three beeps (and a couple of red flashes from the led) when plugging in the CIU-2, but the ''found new hardware wizzard'' does not pop-up, so i can't procede to install drivers.

faulty CIU-2 ?

thanks guys!

Hi Aftica, Try using the device manager (control panel, system) and manually install the driver from there. The CIU2 should show up as an unrecognized device.
