You can't tell anything about the gain without the blades on and actually hovering. Then see if it wags.

Angelos.... you can tell its a 1:15AM post but i guess we can forgive you; this new Spartan 24x7 support needs to be taken up by Gaui and the the others

Well I got a 3100 in today. I have a weird issue, seems related. I changed to the recommended 760/333 etc.... no matter where I set my limit on my Spartan I can not acheive more throw clockwise rotation on the servo?? I tried everything and lots of throw that can be increased in counterclockwise rotation from servo, but limited on clockwise throw... VERY bizzare. I have 6 of these gyros, very familiar with all that can be done with them. Either this gyro is picky with this servo, or I got a bad servo.... ANY ideas Angelos???

Shawn, I think the Logictech gyros have actually 720uSec neutral rather than 760uSec which is probably why you are experiencing reduced travel on one side. If you have an Flash-Link interface set the ds760's "Midpoint trim" to -80 which will shift the mid-point to 720uSec. You should then have equal travel on both sides (assuming equal endpoints of course).

This is why Spartan gyros are worth every penny, not too mention they perfom better than any other gyro

I'm about to pull the spartan out of the hurricane and put it in a 500

Having the spartan in the 200 is like having a chandelier in an outhouse

Ok so to go from 760 to 720 the value to input is "-80" then, this is correct? I will give that a try when I get back to my Gaui, gotta build a Furion now, then i'll get back to the little bugger and give this a go, thanks,

Sorry I may have provided bad advice. I now have conflicting information that the Logictech servos may be 960uS rather than 720uS that I previously though. I will try and confirm what is the case as soon as possible. Meanwhile you could also try the opposite trim +100 which is not enough to fully compensate the difference to 960uS but may make things better.

I assume that the most of the setting will be same as gaui200 from bert site as its the same size heli.

hi angelos,

Are you going to put other framerates on the next software update? That would be great. Just choosing the 3100G from menu and it al done I know its a lot of work to keep the software sync on al the servos out there... but if spartan dont do it... who would

SPARTAN ROCKS!

I use the SPORT (V1.08) with the Logictech 6100 servo...... and servomode 2 programmed (LTG6100).

Looks not good. (one endpoint is too much limited and the servo reacts sometimes very strange...

Any solution ?

Reduce your low endpoint to around 85% (I think it worked up to 88%). Above that, the gyro will not respond, and will stop dead in its tracks. You can find the actual limit by moving he stick left and right rapidly while in rate mode. If the servo stops instead of traveling to the endpoint, the endpoint is to high.

I'll be testing a 3100 on a Trex250, using the inner most hole on the servo arm, my settings are:

High endpoint: 145
Low endpoint: 85
Midpoint trim: +100
Generic
760/333
.07
Reversed

The 3100g servo seems to work ok. I'm getting some wag with hard piro stops, however, I haven't fully tweaked it yet.

Today the Spartan 3100g combo performed pretty damn good, in moderate to severe wind. I made a few changes to the heli, new tail belt (old one was stretching), new pulley and new tail blades (37mm).

However, due to using the inner-most hole on the servo arm, and the 1.08 firmware, gyro cannot drive the servo to the mechanical limits which I think was resulting in inconsistent piro rates.

Hopefully the new firmware will be out soon so I can get full mechanical travel, I think that will solve the piro rate problem.
