For those that may not be following the 10S/8S test thread here is a rockin video for ya!
This is the 8S test with NEU 1910/1Y/fan Align 13T helical pinion, head speed is 2150 with 100% throttle FlightPower's new 8S 3700 brick Castle Creation HV-110 RotorWorkz G10 frames Ian showed this heli and brand new pack on first flight NO MERCY. Thats is what I call a REAL performance test. King Kong's heli almost was not adjusted to handle the pounding as his tail belt was a little too loose and you can see this excitment in the video. POWER WITH FLIGHT TIME BABY! Ian said the power was very close to the Tickitytoc's 10S setup running flight power 10S 3300 packs but almost 2 more minutes flight time! This new FlightPower 8S brick is the same weight as a FP 4900 6S pack The 110-HV ESC was set for high voltage cut off becasue this was a new pack and Ian flew this pack to cut off. Flight times will only improve as the pack gets more cycles on it. Personally I think we found a sweat spot here with 8S. HUGE power and 5 minutes HARD flight time! More flying to continue and King Kong will share more results as this testing progresses. Enjoy: VIDEO --> Trex600 on 8S Test Flight (60 Megs) Bob

Nice... the NEU 1910 is a lot cheaper also than 1512 and 1515.
But its only rated 1000 RPM's vs 1900 and 1700 RPMS in 15XX series. I dont get it... why is it giving same amount of HS? Edit: Just saw the video... and WOW.... didnt even hear the sound lossing power. as well seeing it!!! Nice flying too!! the climbout is just up there!!

Thanks Guys! The full resolution version is a little better, but it's 450MB. I had to compress it quite a bit to get unter 100MB to fit on u-tube... I'll host it on my own website as soon as I can find the password so I can login and upload it, lol.
I should add that I was inspired to do this by staplegun's hoverbreak videos. Nice job man. -Fog

OK, I know it's fairly tame compared to a lot of videos but this is me. I would say it is one of my better flights.
On Mac.com http://web.mac.com/docjoe/iWeb/Site/T-Rex%20600.html On YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHYqGZS_mPI Please keep in mind that I have only been flying since about February/March of this year. |
