Default [HELP] ALIGN T-REX 250 DFC MRS- 3GX with DSM2

Hi,

i 'v a problem to config a Devo 6S (Deviation 4.0) with a T-Rex 250 DFC 3gx with a dsm2 sat. (Lemon Sat)

The bind is good but just the bind...

I try but i'm unable to create the model Stock Align on Deviation.

Someone will have a dedicated model.ini(s) has this configuration ?

Thank you to those who make me fly

I haven't used Deviation 4.0, but for the 3GX you want to start with a standard heli template with 120 CCPM mixing I believe.

It took me a while to get my head around the combination of Deviation and a 3GX, take your time on the setup and check everything carefully before your first flight.

I remember it taking me a long time to understand which channels I had to reverse, and where to find the subtrims for leveling the swash in Deviation for the 3GX, I believe they end up under Cyclic1, Cyclic2 and Cyclic3 rather than the aileron, elevator and pitch channels.

I'll see what I can dig out later. The only 3GX models I have are my 600N's and they've got quite a complex setup in Deviation as I have settings for Idle throttle, in flight tuning, and a bunch of other stuff you won't need.

One of the challenges of using Deviation is that very few people fly it, your best option for support is often going to be the Deviation forum itself.

Ok, I figured it would probably help if you had a few examples, so here's a zip file with all of my last set of model backups on it.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwY...ew?usp=sharing

In there, model 5 is probably a good one for you, that's setup for a 3GX flybarless system and uses CCPM mixing.

If you're still stuck, come back and ask and I'll get my radio out and step you through everything I can remember for setting up a brand new model.

No, model5 won't work straight away for you, there is still going to be a lot of setup, but it may give you a pointer in the right direction.

I'll try to explain the basics:

- The 3GX system requires the radio to work out how the servos need to move to control the swash. More modern FBL systems are a lot easier, and you only need the radio to send the actual stick movements.

- To begin with, you need to configure Deviation to do this mixing. Go to Model Menu - Model Setup and scroll down to Model Type. Set that to Heli, and then press Enter. For the 3GX you need to ensure the swash type is set to 120

- Now, I'm rusty on this next bit. But I think you need to adjust the ail, ele and collective reverse settings in here so that your swash moves properly. I spent a few days fiddling with options until I got my head around it, but the good news is that you only need to do this once.

- Once that is done, you exit those menus and go to Model menu - Mixer.

- You need to start the 3GX setup now, and get to the stage where you level the swash.

- To level the swash, get it as close as you can mechanically and then you enter that part of the 3GX setup and then use the subtrim in the AIL, ELE and collective channels. You should find each setting moves just one servo.

It took me a lot of time to get my head around the 3GX, but it can be done. Ultimately though I took that off my 250 and I run a Spartan Vortex VX1e now, it was a lot easier to setup and flies way better too.

But I'll do my best to help you out with the 3GX, just bear with me as I'm a bit rusty, I've avoided repeating this setup for a couple of years now
