Default First flight, finally

I finally got my 600 in the air today for one tank. Wow! It's even more awesome hearing that thing lift off than I ever would have thought, simply incredible. Nothing like being up close. I don't think I even thought about the tail, it seemed locked in very well (Spartan DS760/8900G). Also, these 8717's on cyclic do not hesitate to do what you tell 'em. Wow!

I take it those are your flight/crash numbers next to your models in the sig? If so, those are pretty good numbers. Good luck with the 600. I hate mine only because it now has me wanting a 700.

I've been either lucky or overly cautious, probably the latter. I do spend a lot of time on the simulator, which helps.

I'm trying to stay away from a 700, but it's so hard.

Well done on your 600 maiden.

It is a great feeling getting a nitro bird into the air for the first time.

When I first got to the field with my 600N, which was my first nitro and only second CP heli overall (the first being an RC-TEK Diablo), the thing was really intimidating me. The intimidation got worse when I had issues keeping the engine started (before I knew to lean out the low end needle a tiny bit). However, once I managed to get it spun up and got it in the air, my fears just melted away because the heli just flew so beautifully.
