Hello helifreaks!
Here is a video I made when flying my new 500L at the local model flying field.

The frame and fins are Fusuno. The green on the canopy was painted by me. It's fluorescent green Krylon spray paint. It really made it easy to keep orientation.

I'll buy one unpainted fusuno canopy and I want to paint it (I need to find the right paint) or just apply stickers but I'll definitely check the krylon spray paint |

The frame by itself is definitely not as stiff as CF, but when assembled I cannot tell any difference. It flies well, and crashes well too. Plus, it only cost me $12.50 for both halves, so, you know, I couldn't pass it up.

This is my rex, it's pretty much all stock, I just replace the align's plastic tail with the metal tail from hobbyking (I didn't trust it but it's working until now) and it's more stable now, no tail wag anymore, the belt seems more rigid and I want to try the hk's belt to see if it's good or scam.
stock or not, more than I fly more than I like this 500 |

With slight modifications, the 500pro canopy fits
Can't wait to fly and check visability |

That looks sick. What did you have to modify on canopy?

I had to remove about a 1/2" of material to make it fit properly in the lower slot. I used a dremel with a cutting wheel. Scissors on fiberglass will crack easily, you're better off grinding.
I'm also using the RC booya mounts. I am not using lower standoff supports and it's VERY secure. -Markus |

At the very bottem, it used to extend about another 1/2" towards the right. I just removed the "tongue" that would normally be there. And it fits perfectly into the 500e "slot"

I see that there are some really cool videos of guys doing really cool stuff. Well, here is the maiden flight of my HK500TT FBL after the rebuild after a nasty crash. Just hovering around the garden. No hard 3d or sport flying here, just checking how it feels. But no jokes, this IS the first take off after the rebuild.
Super stoked that the tail is holding nicely, and that the bird is nice and stable. You can see I did a couple of quick tail inputs and stops, and there didn't seem to be any bounce or sluggishness in the way the tail behaved. I did some substantial work on the tail to get it butter smooth, and it seems to have paid off. The video was shot by my 8 year old son, complete with typical commentary from my wife, and singing by my daughter. And you can see I'm a bit rusty Brain freeze at 1:21 ..... Too much flying of stabilized drones ...
